FTI Defense Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification
FTI Joins Ranks of Approximately 1,800 to Receive Certification to Date Out of More Than 100,000 Federal Contractors

BEAVERCREEK,OHIO, August 31, 2026 - FTI Defense (FTI), a leader in AI-powered analytics, modeling, and defensive cyber software has officially earned Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2.
CMMC Level 2 certification is a program that ensures defense contractors meet existing information security requirements to help protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Achieving CMMC Level 2 certification is significant because it verifies that an organization can reliably protect sensitive defense information from modern cyber threats. For FTI Defense, this certification further enables the company to pursue and deliver federal projects that involve CUI in the defense and national security space.
“Given our focus on data solutions for the U.S. Defense and Intelligence Communities, cybersecurity has been a top priority for FTI Defense since the beginning,” said CEO Jose Hidalgo. “Achieving CMMC Level 2 certification reflects our company’s deep commitment to protecting Controlled Unclassified Information and meeting the highest standards of cybersecurity expected by our customers. The considerable effort required for this level of certification reflects our leadership’s ongoing focus and investment in security, compliance, and internal controls.”
Reaching this level of certification required coordination and support across the organization, and FTI Defense committed significant focus and resources to earning the certification. The company created a dedicated working group of senior leaders from technology, engineering and IT to ensure the collaborative effort aligned with operational needs and had full support across the company throughout the certification process.
For years, FTI Defense has prioritized cybersecurity and protecting our customers data. The IT team designed and built an enterprise-wide IT system that not only meets the stringent requirements of CMMC L2 but has also integrated the highest levels of cybersecurity principles including Zero Trust, conditional access, role-based access control, and least privilege.
FTI Defense is now among approximately 1,800 companies to earn this three-year certification, out of roughly 100,000 federal contractors expected to need it. FTI Defense received the official certification following a rigorous assessment by a certified third-party assessor organization (C3PAO), Ignyte Platform Inc.
